Editing

Before you pay someone to edit, use your best and most affordable editing service. The Bottom Drawer. Put your manuscript out of sight for at least three or four weeks - yes, weeks - then take a look at it with fresh eyes. If you're still at your wit's end, you may choose to work with an editor.

Content Edit
An edit of a book that checks the flow of the text, its organization, continuity and content. 
 
Polish
A  re-working of the project involving minor changes to dialogue, narration or action.
 
Rewrite
An extensive re-working of the project encompassing major changes in the plot, story line and characters of a script with material added and/or deleted.
 

Note: All edits can be made on a hard copy or on a disk copy.

Rewrite
Quoted per job. Prices usually range  from $10 per page to $20 per page depending on the extent of the rewrite. 
 

Note:  All editing prices are based on a standard submission format. Double-spaced text in a 12 point Courier font with one-inch margins all around. Incorrect formatting will result in a higher per-page price.
